Summary
"In 1951 the UN forces in Korea have achieved air superiority over the North Koreans. But word is recieved in Washington, that China has gone into the production of jet engines. Coupled with Russian built airframes, this could prolong the war resulting in a greater loss of American lives. The fledgling CIA formulates a plan and destroys the factory with a highly skilled nine-man team comprised mostly of Marines assigned to the agency. The biggest problem for the survivors is getting out, especially when one of them is a wounded, mentally deranged, coward. How far are you required to go to filfill the Marine creed, 'We bring out our wounded?' For Sgt. John Armstrong, the answer is important, it could determine whether he lives or dies. All this may be a moot point. Factions in Washington are taking steps to assure that none of the team survives. It will prevent embarrassment to the administration if the raid into neutral China can be chalked up to a renegade unit."--P. [4] of cover
